Jillian, teacher English - 44240 Kent

Hi, my name is Jillian , and I am reaching out to you because I have a strong desire to work in Italy as an English teacher. I am American and graduated with my BA degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Kent State University, as well as with my TEFL Certificate, which I obtained by completing a teaching practicum in Florence, Italy, at Kent State Florence. I am now a graduate student, continuing my TESL studies as a Master's student, with one semester left. I graduate in May, 2022, and am looking for jobs for the following school year, fall of 2022. I know that seems like so far in the future, but I've been told that the hiring process can take a long time, so I didn't want to wait.
Aside from living in Florence during the summer of 2019 to help teach English, I also came back to visit two months ago, not only to Florence but to various towns in Basilicata, as well. I am teaching myself the Italian language and trying to do everything I can to be an appealing candidate for a job.
I don't know if this means anything, but I have been shot down a lot due to the fact that I would need someone to sponsor me for a work visa. I can't control what country I was born in, but I truly have a deep fascination with and respect and passion for Italy and Italian culture. I am not interested in being a tourist, I am not interested in making tons of money, I really just appreciate the simple life that Italians live... and I am just as interested in learning from them as I am being a teacher.
I am most interested in the Lecce location, or somewhere in the south, but would be so grateful to even be considered for any location in Italy. If you would like any other information, please let me know.
